From clear skin to healthy hair, this year is
all about self-care and The Avenues Insider has got you covered!
We sat with Dr. Fatma Elfradi, a dermatology, medical cosmetics, and laser specialist, from Neocare to
find out the best treatments you can get to get your glow on this Eid (and
year). So if you’re wondering about the best treatments for acne, stubborn fat,
hair fall, and more – then keep reading.
After booking a
consultation with the doctor, there will be an examination to understand your
skin type – where one of the three options below will be recommended:
Dr. Fatma recommends
two treatments to lose stubborn fat.
According to Dr. Fatma, skin pigmentation and texture is a broad topic with many possible treatments since it can vary from wide pores to acne scars and discoloration. The best way to start is through a consultation with Dr. Fatma who will need to examine the skin concerns to be able to recommend the right treatment. Generally, however, Dr. Fatma recommends Fractional Laser, ranging from baby to deep fractional laser, depending on the issue.
For treating hair fall,
you will first book a Fotofinder consultation for detailed information on the
diagnosis of the hair’s thickness, volume, and health. Second, you will be
asked to do a blood test (mainly for hormones, CBC, Ferritin, and vitamin D) or
you can use one you had already done if it’s less than 3 months old. Finally,
the doctor will check your family history and the history of your hair loss to
finally be able to determine which type of hair fall you’re experiencing:
Telogen Effluvium:
This type of hair fall is due to external
factors, such as hormonal changes, metabolic stress, and others. Since this
type is not genetic, the treatment will only last from 1 to 1.5 years under
medical supervision.
Androgenic
Alopecia: Androgenic Alopecia is
genetic; therefore, the treatment will be for life.
As for the treatments, they vary from different home treatments recommended by doctors to procedures such as PRP, exosomes, baby fractional laser and LED light.
There are two types of
possible treatments for skin tightening, the doctor recommends which type after
your consultation. The first type can be Botox, fillers, and injectables; the
second type includes non-invasive treatments such as Ultherapy and Candela
Profound which is a mix of microneedling and radiofrequency.
If you’re suffering
from excessive sweating anywhere in your body, Neocare is one of the few spots
in Kuwait that offers miraDry, a one-time treatment that offers results for
life!
